what do they have to hide . if he is doing his job correctly why would you not want evidence of that fact. he can only be worried if he intends to tell lies or misslead .
We’re not talking about any job, lets get that clear. Job centre staff have targets to meet, unofficial, as in not really legal, methods they have to adopt. You have great perspective when you’ve actually dealt with them.

you sound like a public servant ? we all have targets to meet at work I can assure you . Job centre is a cushy little job ok you get the odd nut case but we all get those . accountability is what it’s is about . ALL interactions with public servants should be recorded for both parties protection . The good hard working staff would then get recognised for that . But power made job worthy like this manager would be exposed to the public who pay him . Nothing personal it is just so many over paid public servants nowadays think they are above the law and public accountability.

I don’t care if they turn around and say you’re not allowed to video record what is the difference between voice and recording video records have they got something to hide because that’s what it seems to me and any interview should be done in a private room between yourself and the interviewer and therefore new information from any other source claimants will be on the video I don’t see your problem when video recording and less they have something to hide

In 2015 I came out of Uni and made a claim online to JSA. I was extremely lucky and got a job before my first JSA interview. I went to my council to ask about housing benefit and they told me to go back to the job centre and get a letter from them stating my original claim date, I went there right after and they said “no problem but we need ID”. The lady I spoke to seemed okay and she said she get a letter typed up and to come in with ID to collect it. I go back Monday morning and was told “No you need to do that under the F.O.I act”, I wanted to see a manager and they sat me down and said one will come shortly. 10mins later a secruity guard asked me to leave and I refused, he asked again and I refused again, he then grabbed me by the neck and started to strangle me shouting “I’m going to fu*king kill you”. I never been in trouble with the police, I’m not an angry person and even when I refused to leave I was more confused than making trouble. Police came and didn’t even bother taking a statement from me, they arrest me then de arrested me taking me home. I made a complaint to 101 and the police went back there and the guy admitted it, the police then had words with the manager about it but they told me “He done it because he was angry, case closed” this then turned to “We believe you’d been assaulted but due to funding can’t do anything about it”. I couldn’t leave my flat and lost that job I had, 3 months later on zero income I tried to sign back on, but I couldn’t face going back to the same Job Centre, I called the DWP and explained to them what happened but they told me I had no choice. It took over a year on very little income (worked when I could but did really struggle) before they let me sign on in a screened area.
I made complaints and the DWP responded saying it never happened, I got the police report from F.O.I and still “never happend”, they never logged any of it. If people are genuinely curious about this I can upload all the letters/emails.
Mate you should of started straight away by seeing your doctor and claiming ESA
You could of got a professional evaluation for post traumatic stress and anxiety disorder through the assault as it clearly had an affect on your day to day life. you could of got ESA to help you cope buddy

Well the last letter I got from Andrew Rhodes office states “After extensive investigations, we found no evidence of any alledged inccident happening during the 24th August” , I gave them evidence like a police report but still they say nothing happened during that time. Its going through ICE at the moment. The thing is the doctor doesn’t really believe me and the MP’s office can’t even be bothered to read the evidence I give them. Sometimes I’m okay but most days it just really is so difficult. I don’t mean to pile on the victim’ness but the main reason to why it really affected me is because my dad used to behave like that, I left home around 15 and joint up with the Military at 17, lived in New Zealand at 18 and travelled around EU after. I locked up everything from my childhood and never really let it affect me but after being strangled like that it brought it all back. I went to this Steps2Wellbeing but I just know they don’t believe me, they never read the evidence I give them and just assume its all in my mind.

The legal aspect comes in to the equation if someone shares the recording without the consent of the people in the call ie post it online which could be classed as a criminal offence
